  1. 5 lbs of good hamburger

  2. 5 cans of Bush's Country Style, or Boston style Baked Beans. (Has to be these kind of beans none other will be the same). Three large green bell peppers and two large white onions chopped up in a food processer till they area almost liquid.

  3. 6 to 12 ounces of homemade tomato juice.

  1. Keep campfire as small as possible while cooking, place pot directly on fire for browning meat then,hang pot for boiling. Brown meat in caldron or dutch oven, drain grease. add beans, one large can per pound of hamburger. Add remaining items, tomato juice to desired consistancy, cover and boil over fire for at least 15 min. being careful not to scorch, stir often. Be cautious with the campfire. Add brown suger to sweeten if desired. Searve with corn bread made of coarse ground meal.
