  2. 4 slices Italian bread --

  3. 1 inch thick

  4. 4 slices mozzarella cheese or provolone cheese

  5. 3 eggs

  6. 1/2 cup milk

  7. 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  8. 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

  9. 2/3 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs

  1. Cut a 3-inch pocket in each slice of bread; place a slice of cheese in each pocket.

  2. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, Italian seasoning and garlic salt; soak bread for 2 minutes on each side.

  3. Coat with bread crumbs. Cook on a greased hot griddle until golden brown on both sides.
