  1. Marinade: 2 cups cider vinegar

  2. 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

  3. 4 teaspoons salt

  4. 2 Tablespoons brown sugar

  5. 2 Tablespoons chili powder

  6. 2 teaspoons dry mustard

  7. 2 teaspoons paprika

  8. 2 teaspoons toasted ground cumin seeds

  9. 2 Tablespoons honey

  10. 6 pounds spareribs

  11. 1. Combine the marinade ingredients in a large screw-top jar and shake vigorously. Brush the mixture over the ribs and marinate for 4 to 6 hours.

  12. 2. Cook on grill, burshing with sauce every 15 or 20 minutes. Serve remaining sauce, heated with the ribs.
