  1. 2 tablespoons 30ml Onions - diced (large)

  2. 2 cups

  3. 2 tablespoons 30ml Vegetable oil

  4. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Cream cheese

  5. 1 Egg noodles - (12 oz)

  6. 1 cup 160g / 5.6oz Golden raisins

  7. 1 Cube chicken bouillon

  8. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Cottage cheese - (1 pint)

  9. 1 Sour cream

  10. 6 Eggs

  11. Salt - to taste

  12. Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

  13. 1 tablespoon 15ml Butter or butter substitute

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In a pan, saute the onions in oil until browned and caramelized. Put the cream cheese in a large bowl and pour the hot onions over to melt.

  3. In the meantime, in a large pot of boiling water, cook the noodles until done. Drain and add to the mixing bowl. Stir in the raisins, bouillon then the cottage cheese and sour cream.

  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a fork. Mix into the noodles. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Lightly oil a casserole and add the mixture. Dot the top with the butter. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

  6. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
