  1. 2 Sticks Butter ( 1/2 C.)

  2. 1/4 C. Shortening

  3. 4 Egg s

  4. 1 Tsp. Salt

  5. 1 C. White Sugar

  6. 1 C. Brown Sugar

  7. 2 Tsp. Baking Soda

  8. 4 C. Flour (plus some)

  9. 6 oz. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

  1. Cream Butter, Shortening & Sugars together until fluffy. Add Eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each. Mix salt, soda & flour. Slowly add to creamed mixture. Add enough flour so the better is VERY stiff. (May need more than 4 cups.) Add Chocolate Chips Chill Dough for ½ hour. Preheat oven to 375° Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10. Cookies should be puffy.
