  1. 2 Asian pears, peeled and cored

  2. 1/2 lemon, juiced

  3. 1/2 cup sugar

  4. 1 cup water

  5. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  6. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  7. 1 tablespoon honey

  8. 1 stalk lemon grass , halved

  1. Slice the pears in half. Coat with lemon juice to prevent browning. In a saucepot, add the sugar and water and bring to a boil to make a syrup. Reduce to a simmer and add the pear halves, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey , and lemon grass. Continue to cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until pears are tender, but not falling apart.
