  5. 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  6. 2 teaspoons oyster sauce

  7. 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch

  8. 1/4 teaspoon white pepper

  9. 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

  10. 15 round dumpling wrappers

  1. Soak the mushrooms for 5-10 minutes until soft. Discard stems and chop finely. Place in a bowl and add pork, shrimp, green onion, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, pepper and oil.

  2. To shape each dumpling, make circle with thumb and first finger of one hand and position a dumpling wrapper centrally over the circle. Place about 2 teaspoons of the filling in the center of the wrapper and push gently so that the wrapper becomes pleated around the sides.

  3. Place the dumplings in the steamer basket. Steam about 8 minutes until the filling is firm.

  4. Serve dumplings with light soy sauce and chili sauce.
