  5. 1/2 lb Roquefort or Blue cheese

  6. (sharpest flavor)

  7. 1 pt Hellmans or Best Foods

  8. Mayonnaise (regular)

  9. 1/2 c Milk

  10. 1/4 c Wine Vinegar

  11. 2 tb Fresh Lemon Juice

  12. "Pinch" salt

  13. 1 tb Sugar

  14. 1/8 tb Worcestershire sauce

  15. 1 Clove garlic; finely minced

  16. 1/8 Large onion; finely minced

  17. The recipe for Blue Cheese dressing originated at the

  18. Waldorf-Astoria many years ago. It is very thick and chunky; use as a dip, on sandwiches and as a salad

  19. dressing. Crumble cheese by hand (chunky). Combine all

  20. ingredients. Add crumbled blue cheese. Beat mixture by

  21. hand until well-blended. Refrigerate 1-2 hours. This

  22. 1 quart. It will keep

  23. 10-14 days in

  24. refrigerator. I double the amount of blue cheese; I

  25. prefer the sharpest cheese available.

  26. Increase/decrease items to taste. ENJOY! --
