  1. KOHLRABI-CARROT BAKE

  2. 2 cups cubed kohlrabi

  3. 2 cups sliced carrots

  4. 1/4 cup chopped onion

  5. 2 tablespooons butter or margarine

  6. 2 tablespoons flour

  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. Dash of pepper

  9. 1 1/2 cups milk

  10. 1/4 cup parsley, snipped

  11. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  12. 3/4 cup soft bread crumbs

  13. 1 tablespoon butter, melted

  14. Cook kohlrabi and carrots until tender. Drain. In saucepan cook

  15. onion in butter until tender but not browned. Blend in flour, salt

  16. and pepper. Gradually add milk. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir in vegetables, parsley and lemon juice. Put in 1

  17. quart casserole. Sprinkle moistened bread crumbs around edge.

  18. 20 to 25 minutes in

  19. 350 degree oven.
