  1. 1/2 cup butter, softened

  2. 1/2 cup shortening

  3. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar

  4. 1/2 cup sugar

  5. 1 egg

  6. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

  7. 2 cups all-purpose flour

  8. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  9. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  10. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  11. 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

  12. 6 ounces white baking chocolate, coarsely chopped

  13. 1-1/2 cups chopped pecans

  1. White Chocolate Holiday Cookies Recipe photo by Taste of Home In a large bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and extract. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in white chocolate and pecans.

  2. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield: 10 dozen.
