  1. Crust:

  2. 1 - 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers

  3. 2-3 t. sugar

  4. 1 stick butter , melted

  5. Filling:

  6. 1 can sweetened condensed milk

  7. 3 eggs , separated - you'll need the whites and the yolks

  8. juice of three lemons

  9. Meringue:

  10. Saved egg whites

  11. 1 t. vanilla extract

  12. 1/4 cup sugar

  13. 1 t. cream of tartar

  1. Crust:

  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter Spread into pie pan and press down evenly Filling:

  3. Mix sweetened condensed milk and eggs yolks. Add lemon juice to taste. You might not need to use all the juice.

  4. Pour into prepared crust Meringue:

  5. Use a glass bowl to mix your meringue. I set mine in the freezer for a few minutes before use.

  6. Add the egg whites and the cream of tartar. Beat the mixture on high.

  7. Add sugar while beating, one tablespoon at a time.

  8. Add vanilla extract while beating.

  9. Beat mixture until it stands in a peak when you lift the beaters out.

  10. Spread over the prepared pie Bake at 350 degrees F until the meringue starts to brown.
