  1. 2 pounds lean ground beef

  2. 1/2 pound cheddar cheese, cut into 8 slices 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  3. 8 hamburger buns Tomato ketchup Prepared mustard Iceberg lettuce leaves

  1. Divide beef into 8 equal portions. Wrap each portion around an individual slice of cheese. Seal the seams well and gently flatten to form a fat patty. Heat oil in a skillet and cook patties on medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Flip burgers, cover, reduce heat, and cook until no longer pink inside, about 5 more minutes. Place each patty in a hamburger bun and serve with ketchup, mustard and lettuce.
