  1. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Steak

  2. 4 tablespoons 60ml Oil

  3. 1/2 cup 31g / 1.1oz Scallions or onions

  4. 2 Garlic cloves - minced

  5. 5 Green peppers - thinly sliced

  6. 1 cup 110g / 3.9oz Sliced celery

  7. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Beef broth

  8. 2 tablespoons 30ml Cornstarch

  9. 1/4 cup 59ml Water

  10. 2 tablespoons 30ml Soy sauce

  11. Boiled white rice

  1. Buy thin steak and cut it in narrow strips. Brown the steak in the oil, then add the scallions, garlic, green peppers and celery. Cook 5 minutes. Add the beef broth. Cover and cook over low heat 10 minutes. Mix the cornstarch, water and soy sauce until smooth and add to the mixture, stirring steadily until it reaches the boiling point. Cook 2 minutes and serve on rice. Serves 6 to 8.
