  2. HOT CABBAGE SLAW

  6. 2 T Butter

  7. 1/2 c Onion, chopped

  8. 1 t Caraway seed

  9. 1/3 c Water

  10. 1/4 c White wine vinegar

  11. 3/4 t Salt

  12. 1/4 t Tabasco

  13. 8 c Cabbage, shredded

  14. -(about 1/2 cabbage)

  15. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add onion and caraway seed. Cook 5

  16. minutes or until onion is tender. Add water, vinegar, salt and hot sauce,

  17. and mix well. Then add the cabbage and mix well again. Cover and let simmer

  18. about 15 minutes, or until the cabbage is crisp-tender.

  19. NOTES:

  20. A spicy warm slaw, this came originally from our local newspaper. We

  21. enjoy it a lot. Yield: serves 4-6.
