  3. 2 cups 125g / 4.4oz Onions - chopped

  4. 2 Garlic cloves - crushed

  5. 1/2 cup 118ml Molasses

  6. 1 cup 237ml Catsup

  7. 1/4 cup 59ml Vinegar - wine, red

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Dry mustard

  9. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Black pepper

  10. 2 tablespoons 30ml Lemon juice

  11. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Grated lemon rind

  12. 1 tablespoon 15ml Soy sauce

  13. 1 tablespoon 15ml Hungarian paprika

  14. 1/3 cup 78ml Bourbon

  1. Recipe Instructions In large, heavy saucepan, melt butter with oil. Saute onions until tender. Add garlic and cook 2 minutes longer. Combine molasses, catsup, vinegar, mustard, pepper, lemon juice, lemon rind, soy sauce, paprika, and bourbon. Stir into onion mixture. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool and refrigerate in covered container.
