  1. 3 Egg yolks

  2. cup Sugar

  3. 1 dash Salt

  4. 2 cups Grated apples

  5. cup Matzo meal

  6. 2 teaspoons Grated lemon rind

  7. 1 tablespoon Slivovitz (plum brandy)

  8. 3 Egg whites -- stiffly

  9. Beaten 4 tablespoons Ground pecans

  1. Beat the egg yolks, sugar and salt until thick and lemon colored.

  2. Stir in the apples, matzo meal, lemon rind and slivovitz. Fold in the egg whites.
