  1. 1/4 cup 15g / 1/2oz Currants

  2. 1/2 cup 118ml Pepper (large)

  3. 1/4 cup 59ml Mayonnaise

  4. 1/4 cup 59ml Cider vinegar

  5. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Celery seeds

  6. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Pepper

  7. 1 tablespoon 15ml Minced onion

  8. 4 cups 948ml Shredded green cabbage

  9. 2 teaspoons 10ml Lemon juice

  10. 2 teaspoons 10ml Sugar

  11. 1/2 cup 55g / 1.9oz Shredded carrot - (1 medium)

  12. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Celery seed

  13. 1/2 cup 118ml Finely slivered green pepper

  14. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Salt

  15. Pepper to taste

  1. In a small bowl combine cabbage, carrot and green pepper.

  2. In another small bowl, combine vinegar, mayonnaise, minced onion, lemon juice, sugar, celery seed, salt (if desired) and pepper.

  3. Mixing them well and pour dressing over cabbage mixture.

  4. Toss the slaw and chill it for at least 2 hours, tossing it again just before serving. dressing is excellent with other salads.
