  1. 500 g of dice meat (beef/lamb/pork all suitable)

  2. 1 x 250 g tin of tomato puree

  3. 1 tablespoon soya sauce

  4. 1 tablespoon plain flour

  5. 4 large potatoes

  6. 2 carrots

  7. 1 x small package surprise peas

  8. 4 mushrooms

  1. Brown the meat in a saucepan on the stove. Drain off excess fat and add flour to create a paste. Add tomato puree and soya sauce. Leave to simmer. Dice all vegetable. Add all vegetables to stew and mix well. Either leave stew to simmer on stove until potatoes are soft or place stew in caserole dish in oven on 180 until potatoes are soft.

  2. Serve with rice.
