  1. Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -- -- --

  2. 6 fresh mint leaves

  3. artificial sweetener -- equivalent of 2 tsp

  4. -- sugar

  5. 1 ounce bourbon -- (2 tbsp)

  6. crushed ice

  7. 1 fresh mint sprig

  1. Put the mint leaves and the sweetener in the bottom of a heavy glass. Crush the leaves with a wooden spoon. Add the bourbon and ice and stir to blend the ingredients. Garnish the Mint Julep cocktail with the mint sprig and enjoy. NOTE: You should stir the ice around in the glass for a while so frost will form on the outside of the glass. VARIATIONS: Vodka, rum and gin all make excellent Juleps. Makes 1 cocktail.
