  1. 3 Sweet onions - (about 1 3/4 pounds) (large)

  2. Cooking spray

  3. 1/4 cup 59ml Balsamic vinegar

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Olive oil

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Dried thyme

  6. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Dried basil

  7. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  8. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 450F. Peel onions, leaving roots intact; cut each onion into 6 wedges.

  2. Place onion wedges in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Combine vinegar and remaining ingredients in a small bowl; pour vinegar mixture over onion wedges, tossing gently to coat. Cover and bake at 450for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 45 minutes or until tender.
