  1. 1 cup wild rice

  2. 1 onion, chopped

  3. 3 cloves garlic, minced

  4. 14 oz. can diced tomatoes with onions and garlic, undrained

  5. 15 oz. can black beans, rinsed and drained

  6. 8 oz. can tomato sauce

  7. 1 cup beef broth

  8. 4 cups water

  9. 1/8 tsp. pepper

  10. 1 Tbsp. chili powder

  11. 1/2 tsp. cumin

  12. 1 lb. pkg. frozen precooked wild rice meatballs

  1. Place wild rice, onions, and garlic in bottom of 4-5 quart crockpot. Top with diced tomatoes and beans. In large bowl, combine tomato sauce, beef broth, water, and seasonings. Pour into crockpot and top with meatballs. Cover crockpot and cook on high for 1 hour. Then stir gently, cover, and cook on low for 7-8 hours until wild rice is tender and mixture is bubbling. Serve with sour cream and grated cheese. Serves 6-8
