  1. Key Lime Pie

  2. 1 cup flour

  3. 1/2 tsp salt

  4. 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon crisco

  5. 3 tablespoons cold water

  6. 1 1/2 cups sugar

  7. juice from 1 1/2 key limes

  8. zest of 1 lime

  9. 3 eggs

  10. 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  11. 2 tablespoons flour

  12. 2 cups milk

  13. 1 tablespoon butter

  14. 2 tablespoons sugar

  15. 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  16. 1/2 cup water

  17. 3 egg whites

  18. 3 tablespoons sugar

  19. 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

  20. Mix together flour,s alt and crisco, then add cold water. Roll

  21. out dough on floured board, put in pie pan. Bake in a preheated

  22. 375 F oven for 10 mins or until slightly brown

  23. Combine sugar, key lime juice, zest, eggs, cornstarch, flour, milk

  24. and butter. Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly, until

  25. thick, about 20 - 25 minutes.

  26. Combine sugar, cornstarch and water in a saucepan and cook until

  27. thickened and clear. Set aside to cool

  28. Beat egg whites, sugar and cream of tartar on high until smooth

  29. then add the cornstarch mixture. Beat on high until fluffy.

  30. Put pie filling in pie crust, top with meringue. Bake at 300 degress

  31. 10 minutess then at

  32. 350 until meringue browns. Take out and let cool.
