  1. 1 cup fresh blueberries Granulated sugar

  2. 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour

  3. 3 teaspoons baking powder

  4. 1 teaspoon salt

  5. 1 egg

  6. 1 cup milk

  7. 6 tablespoons melted butter

  1. Wash and sweeten berries with 2-3 tablespoons sugar and set aside. Heat oven to 425 and grease 12 muffin cups. Mix dry ingredients. Beat egg until frothy, add milk and melted butter. Make a small well in the center of flour, and pour milk mixture in the well. Stir quickly and lightly. Quickly stir in berries. Fill muffin cups ⅔ full. Sprinkle muffins with 4 teaspoons sugar. Bake for about 25 minutes.
