  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Okra - cut 1" pieces

  2. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Onion - minced (medium)

  3. 4 tablespoons 60ml Vegetable oil

  4. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Cumin seeds

  5. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Turmeric

  6. 1/3 teaspoon 1.7ml Ground red pepper

  7. 2 teaspoons 10ml Ground coriander

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Graram masala Salt - to taste

  1. Recipe Instructions Wash and cut okra. Heat 4 tablespoons salad oil and fry cumin seeds a second, add onions and cook for 10 minutes, until light brown. Add okra, turmeric, red pepper, coriander and salt. Mix. Cover and cook over medium for 10 minutes. Add garam masala and cook covered for another 10 minutes.
