  1. 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) wasabi powder

  2. 2/3 cup(s) sour cream

  3. 1 tablespoon(s) snipped chives or scallion greens

  4. 1 tablespoon(s) chopped parsley

  5. 2 teaspoon(s) tarragon vinegar

  6. 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt

  7. 1 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil

  8. 4 (8 ounces each) beef filet steaks

  1. In medium bowl, combine wasabi powder with 1 tablespoon cold water and stir until smooth. Add sour cream, chives, parsley, vinegar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt and stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  2. In 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sprinkle beef with remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and sear about 3 minutes per side for rare. Reduce heat to medium and cook, turning occasionally, to desired degree of doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Serve beef with wasabi suace.
