  1. 1 4oz can whole California green chilies , seeded

  2. 1/3 lb Jack cheese , large chunks

  3. 4 eggs

  4. 1/3 Cup milk

  5. 1/2 Cup flour

  6. 1/2 tsp baking powder

  7. 1 Cup sharp cheddar cheese - Shredded

  8. 1 7oz can green chile salsa

  1. Divide cheese evenly among the chilies, folding or tucking the cheese inside.

  2. Butter 1 1/2 quart casserole and arrange chilies side by side in the bottom.

  3. Beat eggs until thick and foamy and add milk, flour and baking powder.

  4. Beat until smooth as possible.

  5. Pour the egg batter over the chilies, moistening evenly the surface of all the chilies.

  6. Sprinkle with 1 Cup of cheese.

  7. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes or until casserole is puffed and appears set.

  8. Serve with salsa
