  2. 2/3 cup butter

  3. 1/4 tsp. salt

  4. 1 1/2 cups brown sugar

  5. 1 tsp cinnamon

  6. 1 tsp allspice

  7. 2 eggs

  8. 1 can beer -- (12 oz.)

  9. 2 1/4 cups flour

  10. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  11. 1/2 cup golden raisins

  12. 1/2 tsp baking powder

  13. 1/2 tsp baking soda

  14. 1/4 cup butter

  15. 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar

  16. 1 egg yolk

  17. 1 tbl honey

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs.

  2. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and allspice. Add dryingredients to creamed mixture alternately with beer. Mix until blended.

  3. Stir in walnuts and raisins.

  4. Turn into well greased and floured 2 quart pudding mold or coffee can. Placecan or mold into crock put. Cover top of can with four or five layers ofpaper towels. Place lid loosely on crock pot. Cook on high, allowing 3 1/2hours for a 3 quart pot and 4 hours for the 4 1/2 quart size. Cool on rackten minutes, then turn out of can or mold. Serve warm with hard sauce or icecream.

  5. To make the hard sauce, beat the 1/4 cup butter until creamy. Beat in thepowdered sugar, egg yolk and honey.
