  1. Mohren Mit Geschnetzeltern (Beef Strips And Carrots)

  3. 1 lb carrots

  4. 2/3 c carbonated soda water

  5. 1 c white wine

  6. 1 t salt

  7. 1/4 t sugar

  8. 1 lb sirloin steak

  9. 2 T vegetable oil

  10. 2 small onions, diced

  11. 1/4 t white pepper

  12. 1/2 c heavy cream

  13. 1 T parsley, chopped

  14. Peel carrots and cut into thin slices (crosswise at a slant).

  15. Place in a saucepan with the soda water, wine, 1/2 t salt and sugar.

  16. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile cut the meat into very thin slices. Heat the vegetable oil and saute

  17. 5 minutes. Add the beef slices, cook for 5 minutes,

  18. 1/2 t salt and 1/4 t pepper. Add the

  19. meat and onions to the carrots. Stir in the cream. Heat through

  20. but DO NOT boil. Correct seasonings if necessary. Sprinkle with

  21. chopped parsley and serve.
