  5. 3/4 c Sugar

  6. 2 T Cornstarch

  7. 1/4 t Salt

  8. 2 c Milk

  9. 2 T Butter

  10. 1 t Vanilla

  11. --FOR CHOCOLATE PUDDING--

  12. 2 oz Unsweetened chocolate

  13. --FOR BANANA PUDDING--

  14. 2 Bananas, chopped

  15. --FOR BUTTERSCOTCH PUDDING--

  16. Brown sugar instead of white

  17. -1 T extra butter

  18. Blend sugar, flour and salt. Gradually add milk, mixing well. Cook and stir until smooth, thickened and clear. At this point, add any

  19. ingredients necessary for variations.

  20. Stir a little of the pudding into beaten egg, then return to pudding. (If

  21. you heat the egg too quickly, it'll cook a little. It's unsightly, but

  22. it'll still taste pretty good.)

  23. Add butter and vanilla, mix well, and chill in fridge. This is delicious

  24. hot, too!
