  1. 1 whole chicken

  2. 2 cans chicken broth

  3. biscuit mix (I use Bisquick)

  4. milk

  5. salt and pepper to taste

  1. In a large pot boil chicken until the meat if falling off of the bone. Take the chicken out of the pot onto a large dish to let the chicken cool completely; reserve broth in pot. De bone chicken and add meat back into the pot. Add broth, salt and pepper. Bring back to a boil.

  2. Mix biscuit mix, milk, salt and pepper until thick. Spoon biscuit mix into boiling broth. Cook until dumplings rise to the top and the broth is a creamy color and consistency.

  3. The amount of biscuit mix varies depending on how many dumplings you want.
