  1. Sift the flours, sugar, and baking powder.

  2. Add the kosher salt.

  3. Cut in the cold butter and the shortening.

  4. Mix in the milk.

  5. Roll to about 1/2 inch thick.

  6. Cut into 3 inch rounds.

  7. Wash with the cream.

  8. Bake at 375 until golden brown. .
