  1. 1 box German chocolate ckae mix

  2. 1 small can evaporated milk

  3. 1 - 1/4 sticks melted butter

  4. 3/4 bag Kraft carmels

  5. 1 (16 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

  6. 1 C chopped nut s

  1. In one bowl mix together the cake mix, melted butter, nuts and ⅓ cup evaporated milk.

  2. Grease and flour one 9x13 glass cake pan (or spray with PAM)

  3. Bake this portion @ 350° for 6 minutes.

  4. While that is baking, peel all of the carmels and place in large glass measuring cup or other microwave safe container, add remaining evaporated milk. Melt in microwave, stirring until melted and smooth.

  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked mixture, pour carmel mixture over that, break up remaining quarter of cake mixture and drop in bits on top of carmel.

  6. Bake @ 350° for 16 minutes.

  7. Cool 5 minutes and refrigerate until hard, overnight is best. Let pan come to room temperature and cut into small squares.
