  7. 1 Cup sugar

  8. 1/2 Cup Butter

  9. 1 Egg

  10. 2 Cups Flour

  11. 1 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

  12. 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

  13. 1/2 Teaspoon ground cloves

  14. 1 Cup walnuts -- chopped

  15. 1/2 Cup raisins -- optional

  16. 1 Cup pureed persimmon pulp

  17. 1 Teaspoon baking soda

  18. Cream sugar and butter together. Beat in egg. In bowl sift flour,

  19. nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves together. Stir in nuts and raisins. Puree

  20. persimmon pulp until smooth and stir in baking soda. Add persimmon

  21. mixture and dry ingredients alternately to creamed butter and sugar

  22. mixture, mixing well after each addition. Drop batter by heaping

  23. 350 degrees

  24. 15 minutes. Makes
