  1. 1 c. dried black eyed peas

  2. 1 sliced carrot

  3. 1 tsp. S & B Sun Bird oriental curry powder (a combo of spices)

  4. 1 tsp. honey or waffle syrup

  5. 1/4 tsp. turmeric

  6. 1/4 tsp. cumin

  7. 3 c. water

  8. 1 chopped onion

  9. 2 tbsp. coconut

  10. 1/2 tsp. shredded ginger (keep fresh ginger root in freezer until ready for use)

  1. Add all ingredients to boiling water and simmer until liquid is absorbed and peas are tender. Makes 4 servings.
