  2. 10 strips bacon

  3. 1/2 cup onion, chopped

  4. 2 tablespoons flour

  5. 2 cloves garlic, minced

  6. 1 1/2 cups sour cream

  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  9. 2 cups fresh or frozen whole kernel corn

  10. 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  11. 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

  1. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.

  2. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings.

  3. Crumble bacon. Set aside.

  4. Saute onion in drippings until tender.

  5. Add flour, garlic, salt and pepper.

  6. Cook and stir until bubbly.

  7. Cook and stir 1 minute more.

  8. Remove from the heat and stir in sour cream until smooth.

  9. Add corn, parsley and half of the bacon. Mix well.

  10. Pour into a 1 quart baking dish.

  11. Sprinkle with remaining bacon.

  12. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until heated through.

  13. Sprinkle with chives.
