  1. 200g camembert

  2. 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

  3. 1 tablespoon dry white wine

  4. 1 clove garlic, crushed

  5. 1 teaspoon fresh lemon thyme leaves

  6. 1 French stick (baguette) NOTE: This recipe is best made just before serving.

  1. Preheat oven to moderately hot (200C/180C fan-forced).

  2. Place camembert on a large piece of baking paper or foil on an oven tray. Drizzle camembert with oil and wine, then sprinkle with garlic and thyme. Wrap and seal paper or foil to enclose camembert.

  3. Bake in moderately hot oven for about 20 minutes or until the centre of the cheese is soft.

  4. Open paper or foil and dip sliced bread into cheese.

  5. Suitable to freeze. Not suitable to microwave.
