  1. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  2. 1 medium onion, chopped

  3. 1 red bell pepper, diced

  4. 1 green bell pepper, diced

  5. 1 cup sliced fresh white mushrooms

  6. 1 tablespoon chopped garlic

  7. 1 cup canned diced tomatoes with juices

  8. 1/2 cup ketchup

  9. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  10. 2 tablespoons tomato paste Salt and pepper to taste

  11. 1 pound ground meat substitute

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion, peppers and garlic, cook until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook until they release their liquid, about 2 minutes.

  2. Add diced tomatoes and juice, bring to a simmer, cook uncovered for 5 minutes. Add ketchup, Worcestershire and tomato paste, season with salt and pepper. Simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes.

  3. Add ground meat substitute, stir and simmer to heat through.
