  1. Prepared pie crust for one 9" pie

  2. 3 Eggs (large)

  3. 1 cup 328g / 11oz Dark corn syrup

  4. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Dark brown sugar

  5. 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Butter or margarine - melted

  6. 1 tablespoon 15ml Tabasco pepper sauce

  7. 1 1/2 cups 219g / 7.7oz Pecans - coarsely chopped

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place pie crust in 9-inch pie plate; make decorative edge.

  2. In large bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add dark corn syrup, dark brown sugar, melted butter and Tabasco pepper sauce. Place pecans in prepared pie crust; pour filling over pecans. Bake pie 15 minutes.

  3. Reduce oven to 350 degrees. Bake pie 40 minutes longer or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Cool pie on wire rack. Serve with whipped cream if desired.

  4. This recipe yields 8 servings.
