  2. 3/4 pound beef flank steak -- sliced

  3. 2 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce

  4. 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  5. 1 teaspoon brown sugar

  6. 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  7. 1 tablespoon sherry

  8. 2 slices ginger root

  9. 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  10. 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  11. 1 teaspoon cornstarch blended with

  12. 1 tablespoon water

  13. 4 tablespoons oil

  14. 2 stalks broccoli

  15. 1 green onion -- shredded

  16. 1 slice ginger root

  17. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  18. 1/4 cup water

  1. (Hao You Niu Rou Chao Jie Hua)

  2. 1.Mix the beef slices with the next 8 ingredients.

  3. Wash broccoli; break the flowerlets into 1" long small pieces.

  4. Heat oil in a pan or in a wok; add beef, stir-fry until color turns. Remove and keep warm.

  5. Add broccoli and last 4 ingredients; stir for 1 minute.

  6. Cover pan and bring to a boil.

  7. Add blended conrstarch; mix well. Place the cooked broccoli on a serving dish and top with the cooked beef. Serve hot.

  8. Makes 4-6 servings.
