  2. 1/2 cup macaroni broken into small pieces

  3. 1 cup of milk

  4. 1 cup soft bread crumbs

  5. 1 tablespoon butter

  6. 1 teaspoon each of chopped onion and parsley

  7. 1 teaspoon salt

  8. 1/2 cup grated cheese

  9. 1 tablespoon chopped green pepper

  1. Cook the macaroni in boiling salted water until tender, and rinse in cold water.

  2. Cook the parsley, onion and pepper in a little water with the butter.

  3. Pour off the water or allow it to boil away, and mix all the ingredients.

  4. Line a quart baking dish with buttered paper; turn the mixture into it; set the baking dish in a pan of hot water, and bake in a moderate oven for one-half to three-fourths of an hour.

  5. Serve with tomato sauce.
