  1. INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS:

  2. Sift:

  3. 1 c. flour

  4. 1/2 tsp. salt

  5. Cut in:

  6. 1/3 c. shortening

  7. 8 inch pie pan at

  8. 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

  9. FILLING:

  10. 1/2 cup butter adding gradually

  11. 3/4 cup sugar

  12. Blend in 1 square (1 ounce) chocolate, melted and cooled.

  13. 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add

  14. 2 eggs, one at a time and beating

  15. 5 minutes after each addition using medium speed. Turn into cooled baked pie shell. Refrigerate

  16. 1-2 hours. Top with whipped cream and vanilla. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
