  1. 1 lg Roasting chicken

  2. 2 tb Sesame seed oil

  3. 3 tb Sugar

  4. 1/4 c Soy sauce

  5. 3 tb Minced onion

  6. 2 ts Minced garlic

  7. 1 ts Minced gingerroot

  8. 2 ts Pepper

  9. 1 tb Ground toasted sesame seed

  1. Directions: Steam chicken for 1 hour.

  2. Combine all other ingredients to make basting sauce.

  3. Pour some sauce over chicken.

  4. Skewer chicken and grill over charcoal, turning and basting often, for 1 hour.

  5. A rotisserie can also be used, or roast on rack in preheated slow oven (325 degrees) for 3 1/2 hours, turning and basting frequently.

  6. Before serving, brush with sesame seed oil to give chicken a good color and a special flavor.
