1/2 cup Butter (softened)

1/2 cup Sour cream

1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

1 Egg

2 1/2 cup All purpose flour

1 tsp Baking powder

1/2 tsp Baking soda

1/2 tsp Salt

1/2 cup Sugar (to roll dough in)

400 degrees F. Mix together the sugar, butter, sour cream, vanilla extract and egg together. Stir in the remaining ingredients except for decorating sugar. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoons into the decorating sugar, rolling gently but firmly until it is completely coated with the sugar. Place cookies approx.

2 apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten cookies to about 1/4 thickness with the bottom of a glass. Bake for about 7 to 8 minutes or just until set. Cool for a few minutes before removing from baking sheets.
