  1. Steak:

  2. 453 g flank steak, cut across the grain into 1/2 inch wide strips

  3. 1/4 cup soy sauce

  4. 1 tbsp. lemon juice

  5. 1/4 tsp. vegetable oil

  6. 1 tsp. red wine vinegar

  7. 1/2 tsp. pepper

  8. 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

  9. 1 tsp. minced fresh garlic

  10. 3 cups coarse fresh breadcrumbs

  11. 5 large eggs, beaten to blend

  12. vegetable oil for frying

  13. Dipping Sauce:

  14. 1/4 cup whole grain mustard

  15. 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  1. For Steak:

  2. Stir together soy sauce, lemon juice, oil, vinegar, pepper, cayenne and garlic in a large bowl. Add flank steak strips and stir to coat. Let stand 10 minutes. Place breadcrumbs in a large pie plate. Place beaten eggs in a separate pie plate. Remove the steak strips from the marinade and dip in the egg. Dredge steak strips in the breadcrumbs to coat. Pour oil into a large skillet to 1/4 inch deep. Heat oil over medium high heat. Fry breaded steak in batches, about 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown, turning once. Drain steak strips on paper towels. Serve chicken fried steak with dipping sauce.
