  6. 1 lb Cabbage -- Head, Small

  7. 2 md Onions, Chopped

  8. 1 lb Ground Beef -- Lean

  9. 1/2 ts Salt

  10. 1/2 c White Wine -- Dry

  11. 3 sl Bacon, Thick Sliced

  12. 1 tb Vegetable Oil

  13. 1/2 lb Pork -- Lean, Cubed

  14. 1 t Caraway Seeds

  15. 1/2 ts Pepper

  16. 1 t Vegetable Oil

  17. Remove outer, wilted cabbage leaves and core. Place

  18. cabbage in a large pot of boiling water and simmer

  19. gently for 10 minutes. Remove and drain. Gently pull

  20. off 12 leaves and set aside. Finely chop the rest of

  21. the cabbage. Heat 1 T vegetable oil; add onions, pork,

  22. and ground beef. Cook until lightly browned. Drain off

  23. excess fat. Add the chopped cabbage, caraway seeds,

  24. salt, and pepper. Pour in the white wine. Cover and simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring often.

  25. Grease an ovenproof dish with 1 t of vegetable oil;

  26. line the dish with half the cabbage leaves. Spoon in

  27. the meat mixture, cover with the rest of the cabbage

  28. leaves. Cut bacon strips in half and arrange on top.

  29. Place in preheated 350'F. oven; bake for approximately
