  1. 1/2 c Tapioca

  2. 3 c Boiling water

  3. 1/3 ts Salt

  4. 2 tb Lemon juice

  5. 1 1/2 c Dried pears

  6. 1/2 c Sugar

  7. 1/4 c Water

  8. 1 c Marshmallows

  1. Combine tapioca, salt, and boiling water.

  2. Cook over hot water until tapioca is clear.

  3. Wash pears.

  4. Remove cores.

  5. Steam until tender.

  6. Place pears in saucepan.

  7. Add sugar and 1/4 cup water.

  8. Cover.

  9. Simmer 5 minutes.

  10. Combine with tapioca and lemon juice.

  11. Pour into buttered baking dish.

  12. Cover with marshmallows.

  13. Bake in moderate oven (375 F) 20 minutes.
