  6. 1 stick celery, minced

  7. 1/2 cup cooked chicken, diced

  8. 3 pints chicken stock

  9. 1/2 green apple, diced

  10. 1/2 cup stewed or canned tomatoes

  11. 1 teaspoon ketchup

  12. 1 teaspoon curry powder

  13. 2 tablespoons boiled rice

  14. 1 teaspoon salt

  15. 2 drops Tabasco sauce

  1. Instructions Saute in vegetable shortening: onion, ham, cloves, carrot, and celery, chicken, and chicken stock. Cook fifteen minutes. Add green apple, tomatoes, ketchup, curry powder, rice, salt, Tabasco sauce. Simmer 1/2 hour and serve with or without thin slices of lemon cut in quarters. .
