Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies Recipe

    1. 1 1/2c Flour

    2. 1/2c Cocoa powder

    3. 1/4t Salt

    4. 1/4t Baking powder

    5. 1/4t Baking soda

    6. 10 oz Marashino cherries (48)

    7. 1/2c Oleo

    8. 1 c White sugar

    9. 1 Egg

    10. 1 1/2t Vanilla

    11. 6 oz Chocolate chips

    12. 1/2c Sweetened Condensed milk

    1. + Directions : Combine dry ingredients and set aside. Drain cherries reserving juice and set aside. Beat oleo, add sugar and beat until fluffy; add egg and vanilla and then dry ingredients and beat until combined. Shape dough into 1" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet; press down centers and place a cherry in the center of each. For frosting: Combine chocolate and milk cooking until chocolate is melted; stir in 4 t. reserved juice. Spoon 1 t. frosting over each cherry before baking. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
