  1. 1 pkg. German sweet chocolate

  2. 1/4 c. butter

  3. 1 2/3 c. (14 1/2 oz.) evaporated milk

  4. 1 1/2 c. sugar

  5. 3 tbsp. cornstarch

  6. 1/8 tsp. salt

  7. 2 eggs

  8. 1 unbaked pie crust

  9. 1 1/3 c. flaked coconut

  10. 1/2 c. chopped pecans

  1. Melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Stir until blended. Remove from heat and gradually blend in milk. Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt thoroughly. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in chocolate mixture and pour into pie shell. Mix coconut and nuts together and sprinkle over filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until top is puffed and browned. (Filing will be soft, but will set while cooling.) Cool 4 hours or more.
