  1. 2 tablespoons 30ml Shortening

  2. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Ground beef

  3. 1 -- tomatoes, cutup

  4. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Worcestershire sauce

  6. 1 1/2 cups 219g / 7.7oz Chopped cabbage

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Parsley

  8. 1 cup 237ml Uncooked macaroni

  9. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Cheddar cheese - grated

  1. Heat shortening in a large skillet, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain fat from skillet. Blend tomato, salt, and Worcestershire sauce, with ground beef in skillet.

  2. Bring to a boil. Add cabbage, parsley, and macaroni. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

  3. Sprinkle with cheese and serve hot.
